We offer various alternatives for you to make your payment using the method that suits you best:

  • Payment Platform: Use the payment platform on the Private Client Portal on our website www.simedpr.com
  • Phone: Call our Client Care team at 787-641-2550.
  • Tele-Pago: Use Banco Popular’s tele-payment service.
  • Mail: Send a personal check, money order, or certified check to SIMED, PO Box 8969, San Juan PR 00910.
  • For payments through the client portal and by phone, you can use the following credit or debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express.
How to Notify a Change in Your Medical Practice
A change in your medical practice might require an update to your policy. This requires an Underwriter to assess the changes in your exposure to determine if modifications to the terms and conditions of your policy are necessary.
What to Do If You Are Summoned or Receive a Claim Letter from an Attorney or Patient

If you receive a summons or claim letter, you need to send all documents to SIMED immediately so that one of our legal examiners can address and handle the claim. You can send these documents via email to claimspledge@simedpr.com, by fax to 787-724-4437, or by regular mail to PO Box 8969, San Juan PR 00910. Your documents will be handled with confidentiality.

Who Is Eligible for the Medical Professional Liability Insurance Provided by SIMED

Eligibility includes individuals properly licensed by the Medical Licensing and Disciplinary Board, their professional examining board, or the Department of Health, as applicable, including physicians, surgeons, dentists, podiatrists, naturopaths, doctors of naturopathy, as well as healthcare institutions such as hospitals, among others.
